Hummingbirds wings don’t have regular bird wings. Hummingbirds have a unique joint where their wings attach to their sternum, allowing for a highly efficient rotational movement, further enhancing their agility. Hummingbirds are incredibly agile, capable of flying backward and even, for brief moments, upside down.

Hummingbirds have a fast metabolism. Hummingbirds have an exceptionally high metabolism, allowing them to burn a massive amount of energy to sustain their rapid wingbeat and flight, with the exception of insects, they have the fastest metabolism of any animal.
