If you love writing, doodling, or expressing yourself, this is your chance to shine! 

Who Can Join

  • Anyone 7 to 17 years old
  • Your poem must be your own and never posted anywhere else

How to Make Your Poem

  • You can type it or write it by hand .
  • Add a drawing or digital illustration if you’d like (optional).
  • Please make sure your poem fits on one A4 page or smaller.
  • Take a photo or scan of your poem and save it as a JPEG or PNG file.
  • Want to bring your poem to life? You can also send an MP3 voice recording reading your poem!

How to Send It

  • You can upload up to 10 poems at a time
  • Each file should be 10MB or smaller

What to Include

  • Your poem files (JPEG or PNG)
  • Your name, city/state/country, school name, and age
  • Your email address so we can contact you

 What Happens Next

  • We collect poems all year round!
  • Poems sent from Aug 1 last year by July 31 this year will join the same contest year.
  • The winners will be awarded by September 1! 🏆
  • Poems awarded will be posted on our website with award announcements.
  • In the future, we might even publish your poems in a book with your permission, of course!

Poop Car

Poop Car is a children’s book that Jina first made at the age of seven. The original version was a free e-book on iBooks for nearly a decade after its 2013 publication.

Now, we are excited to announce a newly updated edition. The original handwriting was replaced with clean typed text, and official ISBN numbers were obtained, and we made the book available for sale: the paperback on B&N and the eBook version of Poop Car on Amazon KDP.

All proceeds from the books benefit our BunnyPals’ club.

We are currently a California non-profit organization (NPO), with plans to become a registered NPO in the US.

Light of Hope

Light of Hope

As dawn came near

I was alone

In the deep, dark sea

I was scared

I was suffocating

There was no light, just dark and only dark

And when I was just about to given in

Someone held my hand

That someone became my light

That someone gave me hope

And I thought

Perhaps even in the most deepest part of the sea

Light can pierce through

Did you see a starfish eating something?

I/Sooyoung/Grace’s mom did not know which food starfish eat. Today, I just know that shrimp is one of the foods that starfish eat. Google says that they feed on coral, sponges, clams, oysters, sand dollars, and mussels because these move slowly or do not move at all. Of course, starfish eat injured fish as well.

Cabrillo National Park

It was the second visit to Cabrillo National Park for our family.

This year (2024-2025), we obtained a free national park pass (4th graders and their families could get a free park pass that covers national and state parks).

This time, we skipped the military history exhibit and skimmed through the lighthouse, but we made a trail to Point Loma Tide Pools through the Oceanside trail. 

If you are interested in the San Diego history, please check the ranger program first at the visitor center. You could hear about Spanish exploration and the first explorer, Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo. His three-month voyage in 1542 was the first European expedition on the West Coast of the US. 

Do not miss the visitor center, a kind of exhibition, a Cabrillo statue, the coin collection, the lighthouse, Bayside Trail, Oceanside Trail, and Tide Pools!!!
